Hello everyone. It's been a while.

It is now almost 3 years since we've discontinued this project. We did because we weren't happy with how our game was coming along, and so we decided it wouldn't be worth trying to finish it up. Afterwards, we have experimented with planning other games and making several prototypes, but nothing met our expectations either, so we never released any. 

The last few months we have been considering revisiting the Backrooms concept, but approaching it the right way. 

There are two exciting news:

The Backrooms: Story Mode DEMO (2022 Rework) 

We will be updating the demo version of our original Backrooms game!

This does not mean that we will continue the development of this particular game nor that we will make a full release with the original plan. It just means an updated version of the currently available demo version, as we have come to notice that the version we released is very difficult and to some players confusing. 

Main point is to make this version a playable and enjoyable experience. Consider it as a re-imagination and practice for our next big thing that we'll talk about now...

NEW PROJECT! 

We will be developing a BRAND NEW backrooms game! 

We want to make this project what The Backrooms: Story Mode should've been. We have been making plans and reading about what the community wants out of Backrooms games, we will stick as much as possible to the official Backrooms lore with some of our own ideas mixed in, and our main source will be the official Backrooms wiki. 

One of the main currently planned goals is to make a game that doesn't rely solely on jumpscares, but rather mostly on an unsettling atmosphere. We will share more information and details when it's ready! 

None of this is yet set in stone, so things might change as we consider more ideas and possibilities.
